This makes the Rafting Peavey the strongest tool available for prying, lifting and rolling timber. The rafting Peavey was invented in the US by J.Henry Peavey in 1873, to meet the needs of loggers both in the forests and on the water. The handle is American ash, 2 3/8” in diameter, and the hook is forged duck bill hook.
